Grief Journal App

I created a simple journal app for people experiencing Grief. 🕊️
With the ongoing pandemic, a lot of us experienced losses from jobs, to relationships, and to even loved ones.
And as we are quarantined in our homes, dealing with our emotions while isolated is very difficult.
Because of this, I tried to create a mobile app to help people move on from their losses. 🙏
I based the content on Simpler Times’ Bereavement Journal for Adults.
In therapy, journaling is highly encouraged by psychologists as it helps individuals understand themselves better. ✍️
And with that understanding, therapists and individuals could help hand-in-hand in improving one’s mental health.
💡 This is why the app has two main features:
1. A Daily Journal – which serves as a diary to keep track of thoughts and feelings. Users can also upload photos and custom emojis to summarize the day.
2. A Guided Self-Help Journal – which is a 10-step journal with simple questions and tips to serve as a guide as users go through the first few weeks of their losses.
You can use the app by following this link: https://elegant-cap-6957.glideapp.io/
The app will open in your browser and would require an email address to access.
For privacy, all email ads and journal entries are anonymous and encrypted. 🤫
⚠️ Disclaimer: This app is not perfect and is not a substitute for professional help. I made this on a whim to serve only as a prototype for a future project. This has not been rigorously tested for bugs so use it at your own discretion.
On the other hand, any comments and suggestions would be highly appreciated!
Let me know what other things you want me to create! ⚒️
P.S. The app was built last September and I totally forgot about it as I was caught up between finance work, a bunch of side-projects, and binge-watching the greatest series on planet earth – Breaking Bad.
P.S.S. Also if you want to know how I built this, subscribe to my newsletter where I share my processes and current projects I’m working on: https://www.getrevue.co/profile/ynovations
